The Best Robot Vacuum Mops Vacuum For Carpet

There’s a robot that can be found for every carpet type, whether it’s low-pile or high-pile. These smart appliances will navigate your home in a way that is automated clean up debris and clean under furniture.

Many have advanced features like mapping, which allows them to navigate your home and remember furniture positioning. They can also boost suction power to tackle dirtier surfaces.

iRobot Roomba 694″

The iRobot Roomba 694 is a basic robot vacuum that performs well on both carpets with a low pile or bare floor. It has good suction and cleans up most debris, though it struggles with larger particles like sand or rice. It also does a decent job of removing pet hair however it isn’t resistant to tangling like the premium Roomba models like the j7 or I6.

The Roomba is easy to operate. It has three buttons on its top cover. Clean, which launches a cleaning session and ‘Dock’, which puts it in its charging station and ‘Spot,’ which activates an individualized cleaning. It can be controlled via an app on your smartphone that lets you schedule cycles, stop/start the cycle and change settings. It is also possible to pair the device with smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it by voice commands.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than others, but it is able to get into the most crevices and corners. It comes with a large bin which makes it much easier to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which allow you to make the robot avoid certain areas or to stop cleaning altogether to prevent it from getting stuck.

It’s not the most effective for its price, but it’s still superior to other models. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning efficiency than the Roomba 694 and it can clean both carpets with low pile as well as bare. It also has a more durable battery and a more efficient route. It is also more robust, has fewer parts that require regular maintenance, and costs less over its life and charges faster than 694.

It’s also worth taking a look at other models that are more expensive in the iRobot line, like the 981 or the v7. They’re more expensive but they offer significant improvements over the 694 in terms of performance on both bare and low-pile floors. They also follow a more efficient cleaning route and have a larger dirt compartment, are more efficient to charge, can move more easily, and are much easier to connect to smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does a decent job on hard floors and carpets with low pile. The combination brush is able to reach corners and edges and it automatically boosts suction once it senses carpet. It also excels at cleaning dirt embedded in carpets that are mid-pile. The IQ’s compact dock footprint and self-emptying feature are both nice features. If you’d like to change the floor level or set zones that aren’t allowed, you’ll have to manually reset the map.

The IQ app provides advanced mapping and automated features, but it lacks no-go zones. These are available only on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing system permits for better maneuverability and the high-pile feature of its carpet cleaning mode is very effective but it could get stuck on rug tassels.

During our tests, we discovered that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to remove the majority of hair on bare floors and a decent amount of rug with a medium pile. It was a little less efficient on shag carpets, where it struggled to get at dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It did a decent job of navigating the legs of chairs and tight spaces as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. We did notice it was a little slower on floors with no flooring however it soon recovered speed and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.

The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on a charge and is capable of getting around obstacles. It has mopping tools that are able to remove sticky messes. On the other side the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer parts that require replacement or maintenance and has lower recurring costs and can even create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can even restart the cleaning process from the point it started if it runs out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice, which is a huge benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S from Eufy isn’t the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market, but it does offer great cleaning power for an affordable price. This robot vacuum is designed for consumers with a tight budget who don’t require a complicated mapping system, or an app to control it. This robot will last for up to an hour. It comes with an remote control, a cleaning tool and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek, with a tempered glass upper deck that covers plastic finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It’s a refreshing departure from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up large particles and fine dust on hard floors. It struggled to deep clean carpets with high and medium piles. The device is prone of bumping into people and furniture in its course. However, it is able to detect these obstacles using sensors. It stops and emits a loud sound when it comes across an obstacle. You can then manually steer the device around it and get it to work again.

Another great feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction power to match the floor type and level of the mess. It’s also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S where you want it to go.

If you don’t have much furniture in the area you’re looking to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy will spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.

Edge Cleaning is another option that limits the time that is spent on each area to 20 minutes. This will extend battery life. If you select this option the eufy moves in a spiral, tackling corners and edges for a thorough clean.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 canister robot is a great mid-range vacuum cleaner that is a winner on carpet. Its performance on floors that are not bare is also impressive. It is able to remove rice and other small particles with ease. The suction power doesn’t drop as the dirt bin fills. Its design is a breathable one and its air-sealed body will trap allergens to keep your family healthy. It comes with an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying dustbin, which means you don’t need additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.

It’s not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it’s excellent for dealing with dirt and deep cleaning. The two cameras on the front of the unit provide live feeds of images on your smartphone, and it comes with one of the most effective obstacle avoidance systems we’ve ever seen. It also comes with a huge dustbin, a long running time and a quick and smooth clean-up.

The Complete C1 is unlike most robots because it can switch between two heads, a standard and a turbo to suit different kinds of flooring. The turbo head is best with high-pile or low-pile carpeting, while the standard powerhead is good for bare floors and light carpets. It also has an automatic height adjustment system that allows it to adapt to different types flooring without manual adjustments.

This model comes with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on carpets with a hard surface and carpets with a medium pile. The powerhead is also easy to move and can reach tough spots. It has five levels of surface adjustments and an off-brush switch to avoid hairs getting caught in tangles.

The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll as well as the UtraClean Mode that can clean the same area up to three times and a self-emptying dustbin that you can empty by pressing a button. The sound level of this model is greater than other models. However, its powerful motor of 1,200 watts and robust construction make it worth the additional cost.

If you’re willing to spend some extra money, the Miele Complete C3 canister robot vacuum is a great all-around robot vacuum. It is more effective on carpets than the Classic C1. It performs better on all floors, feels more solidly built and comes with an HEPA filter.
