Senior Software Development

Roles & Responsibilities:
Seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with 3-5 years of experience in developing low-level drivers and external interface drivers for microcontrollers used in automotive cluster and infotainment systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Embedded C and a strong background in the development of low-level software for real-time automotive applications.
- Design, develop and validate microcontroller low-level drivers (MCAL, I/O, ADC, PWM, SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, etc.).
- Implement and optimize drivers for external peripherals like displays, sensors, and communication modules.
- Develop and debug drivers for interfaces such as UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB and LVDS.
- Work on cluster and infotainment platforms focusing on scalability and real-time performance.
- Ensure adherence to automotive standards such as MISRA and ASPICE.
- Conduct static code analysis and maintain software quality metrics.
- Use debugging tools and emulators to troubleshoot issues at the driver and hardware abstraction layers.
- Perform unit testing and system integration testing to validate drivers.
- Work closely with hardware teams, system architects and application software teams for seamless integration.
- Document requirements, design specifications and test cases for developed modules.

Required Skills:
Proficiency in Embedded C programming.
- Strong experience in microcontroller architecture and peripherals.
- Hands-on experience in developing low-level drivers for automotive applications.
- Hands-on experience with external interface drivers like Memories (NOR, NAND FLash), SRAM, LVDS, MIPI , Camera, USB and touch interfaces.
- Handson experience on RTOS - FreeRTOS
- Good knowledge on Microcontroller & SOC drivers ex. Ethernet, BT/Wifi, Radio, DSP, Noice Cancellation
- Good Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and Diagnostic protocol such as UDS, K-Line etc.
- Familiarity with automotive development tools like debuggers , emulators and compilers (e.g., GHS, IAR, Keil).
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, TRACE32, or Miniprog4.
- Understanding of MISRA guidelines, ASPICE processes and functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
- Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and datasheets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in IBM RTC, IBM Doors, SVN and Zoho for project and requirement management
Good to Have:
- Good to have knowledge on Instrument cluster Software architecture
- Experience with QNX RTOS is a plus.
- Experience in developing software for HMI systems.
- Exposure to MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithms (optional)
