Area Credit Manager- Micro LAP

We are looking for an experienced Area Credit Manager to oversee and manage the credit evaluation and underwriting process for Secured LAP Loans across the Chennai Cluster. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in credit risk assessment, deep knowledge of the local market, and hands-on experience in handling end-to-end credit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end credit appraisal for Secured LAP Loan proposals (ticket size min 10 Lac to 1Cr)
Evaluate financial statements, banking patterns, and customer profiles
Assess creditworthiness and ensure adherence to internal credit policies
Handle approvals, deviations, and risk mitigation strategies
Monitor portfolio quality and control delinquencies
Coordinate with sales, operations, and collections teams
Ensure TAT adherence and process efficiency
Maintain strong knowledge of the Kerala market and customer segments
Conduct field visits and personal discussions (PD) with customers when required

Eligibility Criteria:
Experience: 10–15 years in credit, preferably in unsecured Business Loans
Strong understanding of the Chennai, Kanchipuram, Vellore, Pondicherry, Panruti, Thiruvallur market
Proven experience in handling the complete credit lifecycle
Qualification: Graduate (MBA/Finance preferred)
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
