Hiring: Automotive Exterior Trim Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Exterior Trim Design Engineer with strong expertise in CATIA V5, New Part Development, and plastic product design.

Experience: 5–8 Years

Key Skills
Automotive Exterior Trim Design & Development
Strong CATIA V5 expertise
Minimum 5 years of New Part Development
3DX – Good to have
GD&T, Teamcenter & VisMockup
Plastic product design and manufacturing processes
Vehicle architecture and packaging studies
Benchmarking and exterior trim positioning
Manufacturing, assembly & service feasibility

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop exterior trim components such as bumpers, grilles, cladding and functional trims
Develop CAD designs in CATIA V5 based on engineering requirements
Work closely with styling, design, D&R engineers and suppliers
Perform packaging studies and vehicle-context integration
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback
Apply GD&T to completed designs
Manage design releases and change management
Ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, assembly and service requirements
Contribute to continuous design improvement initiatives

Preferred Skills
Automotive standards, safety regulations, styling collaboration, benchmarking, digital vehicle structure, supplier coordination, problem solving, project management and strong communication skills.
