Role

The role will own the Shopify storefront, including storefront development, performance, PDP experiences, integrations, analytics, SEO/AEO implementation, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Storefront Build & Performance

Own Shopify themes end-to-end using Liquid, JSON templates, sections, blocks and metaobjects.
Maintain strong mobile Core Web Vitals.
Develop and improve PDP experiences such as size selector, size-chart and product/feature explainers.

Conversion & Experimentation

Build and instrument A/B tests across PDP, collection and cart.
Implement analytics and event tracking including GA4, Meta CAPI, server-side tagging and consent handling.

Apps, Integrations & Data

Evaluate and integrate Shopify apps.
Integrate with WMS/3PL, ERP, returns, reviews, WhatsApp/SMS and marketing automation.
Work with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API and webhooks.

SEO & AEO

Implement JSON-LD including Product, CollectionPage, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and ItemList.
Handle heading structure, canonical and hreflang.
Build flexible collection and blog templates.

Reliability

Follow version control, staging themes, code review and rollback practices.
Support peak-season readiness, sale events, launches and traffic spikes.
Mandatory Requirements
3+ years of Shopify development
At least one Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme built or substantially rebuilt
Strong Liquid
HTML, modern CSS and vanilla JavaScript
Shopify Admin API
Shopify Storefront API
Webhooks
At least one Custom App OR Shopify Function
Git-based workflow
Shopify CLI
Experience deploying without breaking a live store
Demonstrable performance optimization, specifically ability to explain how LCP or CLS was improved
Comfortable working with analytics and making data-driven decisions
