Role Overview
As a Technical Project Manager within our Digital Commerce vertical, you will lead the convergence of Digital Commerce architecture, cloud transformation, and generative AI innovation. In this hybrid role acting as a principal architect and delivery lead, you will define end-to-end architectures for B2B and B2C commerce platforms, drive digital transformation initiatives, and collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver seamless omnichannel customer experiences.

This position requires deep system design expertise and rigorous technical program management to steer cross-functional engineering teams from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design: Design and implement high-performance, MACH-aligned (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-Native, Headless) omnichannel B2B & B2C commerce solutions. Develop solution blueprints, reference architectures, technical standards, and strategies for product catalogs, pricing, promotions, order management (OMS), and checkout processes.

Integrations & Performance: Design API-led integrations with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, Payment Gateways, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Third-Party Marketplaces). Define caching/content delivery strategies, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

AI & Cloud Innovation: Architect and integrate Generative AI capabilities (personalized search, conversational commerce assistants, automated content generation). Lead the migration, optimization, and modernization of legacy commerce systems onto enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Technical Due Diligence: Conduct vendor evaluations and due diligence on third-party commerce platforms, AI & LLM providers, and modern SaaS tooling.

Program Execution & Delivery: Own the technical implementation roadmap, managing dependencies, risk mitigation, and end-to-end delivery schedules.

Agile Governance: Lead agile engineering squads, managing sprint velocity, scoping technical debt, and clearing architectural roadblocks. Align cross-functional teams spanning data engineering, cloud operations, security, and frontend development.

Leadership & Influence: Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members. Translate business-critical commerce KPIs into definitive technical requirements for engineering teams. Engage with business stakeholders and present architectural roadmaps to C-level executives.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Industry Experience: Minimum 12+ years in enterprise software engineering, solutions architecture, and technical program management.

Domain Expertise: Minimum 6+ years specifically in Digital Commerce with deep knowledge of cart/checkout mechanics, order management (OMS), product information management (PIM), and payment gateways.

Transformation Experience: Proven track record in large-scale digital transformation programs across Retail, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, or Digital Commerce domains.

Technical Stack:

Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot, Python 3.x

Frontend: ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS

API & Integration: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, API Gateways, Webhooks, Message Queues, Event Streaming (Kafka)

Cloud & Infrastructure: Technical proficiency in Cloud Technologies (PaaS, SaaS, AWS / Azure / GCP)

DevOps & Databases: DevOps Automation, RDBMS, and Document Databases

Emerging Technologies: Practical experience and understanding of Gen AI, AI, ML, Deep Learning, RAG, and LLMs is highly desirable.

Other Competencies: Deep understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs - performance, scalability, security, data privacy). Strong technology thought leadership, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
