GMS – IT Infrastructure Support Engineer
Role: GMS / Infrastructure Support Engineer
Experience: 1–2 Years
Location: Bengaluru(Native also nearby)
Work Mode: Work from Office 6 Days
Shift: 24x7 Rotational Shifts
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and support servers, network devices, applications and infrastructure using
monitoring tools.
Handle incidents, service requests and alerts within defined SLA.
Perform basic troubleshooting of Windows/Linux servers, network connectivity and
infrastructure services.
Monitor system health, CPU, memory, disk utilization and service availability.
Perform basic server restart, service restart and operational activities as per approved
procedures.
Troubleshoot alerts and coordinate with L2/L3 teams for complex issues.
Perform ticket updates, documentation and proper shift handover.
Follow incident, change and escalation management processes.
Maintain operational checklists and ensure all critical activities are validated before closure.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution.
Participate in regular KT, knowledge sharing and process improvement activities.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux
Basic networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Checkmk, Grafana or similar
ITSM/ticketing tools such as Jira or ServiceNow
Basic understanding of VMware/virtualization
Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
Basic understanding of backup, patching and server health monitoring
Good to Have:
ITIL knowledge/certification
Cloud basics – AWS/Azure
Scripting knowledge – PowerShell/Linux shell
Experience working in a 24x7 NOC/GMS environment
